4 N / 5 D – Monsoon Special Ladakh
Day 1: Arrival in Leh
We pick you up from Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh. Get transferred to your booked hotel in a private vehicle. Proceed to check in and take complete rest throughout the day in your room. Rest is compulsory on Day 1 to enable your body to acclimatize to the high altitude of 11,500 feet.
Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing
Start with breakfast at your hotel and then get into some mild exploration. Visit Sangam Point and marvel at the fantastic confluence of the Indus River and the Zanskar River. Go for a ride where you can defy gravity at Magnetic Hill. Go to the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Hall of Fame Museum. End your day on a high note by watching the sunset from the white stupa of Shanti Stupa.
Day 3: Leh to Pangong Lake Day Excursion
Have your yummy breakfast and set out on an adventurous day trip. Take the journey on the road of the majestic Chang La Pass that takes you up to the height of 17,590 feet above the sea level. Arrive at the magnificent Pangong Tso lake that is the largest in the world. Just take your time to enjoy the view of this lake and the surroundings of it. Retrace your steps and return back to Leh via Changthang valleys of wildlife.
Day 4: Monasteries & Palaces Heritage Trail
After having breakfast, begin exploring the interesting culture of Ladakh. Begin with the awesome 12-storeyed Thiksey Monastery which resembles Potala Palace of Tibet. Go to Hemis Monastery which is the richest and largest monastic order of Ladakh. Go for a tour of ruins of Shey Palace along with the big statue of Buddha. On your last day of the tour, go for some shopping in Leh Main Bazaar.
Day 5: Departure from Leh
After you finish having your breakfast at the hotel, it is time for you to check out of the hotel. Then, you will be taken to the airport in Leh. From there you can board your next flight and see the mighty snow-capped Himalayan Mountains while returning home.
